GUWAHATI- Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the newly inaugurated 'Swahid Smarak Kshetra' in Guwahati this Sunday to honor the martyrs of the historic Assam Movement. He offered floral tributes at the eternal flame and garlanded the bust of first martyr, Khargeswar Talukdar.
During his visit, the Prime Minister explored the martyrs' gallery, describing the experience as deeply moving. He reaffirmed the government's resolve to safeguard Assam’s cultural identity and ensure the state’s continued prosperity, while acknowledging the profound sacrifices made during the agitation.
