NEW DELHI- The Indian Biogas Association (IBA) projects that the domestic biogas sector will attract over ₹5,000 crore in investments during the 2026-27 fiscal year. This surge is fueled by massive stakeholder interest and the growing operational success of Compressed Biogas (CBG) projects nationwide.
With more than 100 CBG plants already commissioned, the industry is witnessing an unprecedented pipeline of new projects. Government data confirms the sale of over 31,400 tonnes of CBG in FY 2024-25, highlighting a robust market uptake and solid growth trajectory.
