Noida Police Arrest Eight Gang Members Including Two Juveniles For Street Robberies

Nodia : In a major crackdown on street crime and urban theft networks, the Sector 20 police station in Noida successfully dismantled an active criminal syndicate specializing in vehicle thefts and mobile phone snatching. The operation resulted in the arrest of six adult suspects and the lawful detention of two juvenile accomplices.

Acting on a combination of local intelligence network inputs and electronic surveillance tracking, a specialized police team set up tactical checkpoints around the area. The strategic operation intercepted the gang members while they were moving through the city limits. During the initial on-site search and subsequent interrogation, law enforcement officials recovered three stolen motorcycles, three high-end mobile phones,

a .315-bore country-made pistol, and three sharp knives used to intimidate victims.  According to a senior official from the Gautam Buddh Nagar Police Commissionerate, the syndicate followed a highly structured operating procedure.

The gang primarily targeted parked two-wheelers, unattended paying guest (PG) accommodations, and residential sectors to identify vulnerable targets. Once an opportunity arose, they stole the motorcycles and rapidly repurposed them as getaway vehicles to execute lightning-fast mobile snatching runs across busy marketplace zones in the Noida-NCR belt.

If any local resident or victim attempted to resist their robbery bids, the accused would brandish country-made weapons and pocket knives to terrorize bystanders before fleeing through pre-planned escape routes to evade police patrols.

While the adults have been remanded to judicial custody, the two minors were sent to a juvenile correction facility in accordance with legal provisions. Investigators are currently conducting extensive backward linkages, checking regional databases, and tracking electronic footprints to ascertain the gang's involvement in other unsolved mugging cases reported across neighboring districts.
