Toxic Haze Grips Delhi, AQI Hits Severe
Delhi's air quality remains 'very poor' on Dec 22, 2025, with an AQI of 366. Seven areas including Narela record severe pollution levels.
NEW DELHI- A thick grey haze blanketed Delhi on Monday morning as the air quality remained in the 'very poor' category with a reading of 366. Data from the CPCB highlighted that seven stations slipped into the 'severe' zone due to stagnant winds.
Narela recorded the highest pollution level at 418, prompting concerns over respiratory health. Meteorologists warn that unfavorable wind speeds below 10 kmph are preventing the dispersion of pollutants, potentially keeping the national capital's air toxic for the next week.
