Copper Futures Surge 7.63% on Strong Demand
Copper prices hit ₹1,375 per kg on MCX as rising spot demand fuels a massive rally.
NEW DELHI-In a massive boost for the metal market, copper futures soared by 7.63% on Monday, reaching a record high of ₹1,375 per kilogram. The surge on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) was driven by intense spot demand and aggressive buying.
Market analysts attribute this rally to the global push for Electric Vehicles (EVs) and green energy infrastructure. As participants increased their bets for January delivery, the turnover crossed 12,867 lots, signaling a robust bullish trend for industrial metals in 2026.
