Under Pradhan Mantri Swanidhi Yojana in the district, this year more than 9 thousand street vendors will be given loan to expand their business
Ambedkar Nagar. Street vendors will have to apply to avail the scheme. Under the scheme, street vendors who set up shops on the roadside in three Nagar Palikas and four Nagar Panchayats of the district can apply.
Pradhan Mantri Swanidhi Yojana is being run by the central government to increase the employment of small traders who set up shops on the roadside.
Under the scheme, common traders and readymade traders are given a loan of Rs 10,000 each without any bank guarantee.
If the trader repays this loan within a year, then he can get a loan of 20 thousand as the second installment and on depositing half the loan of the second installment, he can take a loan of 50 thousand as the third installment.
More than 12 thousand street vendors have been registered in the district and are being provided loans as per their requirement.
In-charge Officer DUDA Beena Singh said that under PM Svanidhi, the government has given the target of giving loans to 9120 street vendors to expand their business and everyone has been instructed to complete it.
