Serious Allegations Against DFI; Complaint Filed with DGCA Seeking Corruption Probe
Drone Federation of India (DFI) faces serious fraud allegations, including forgery of signatures and falsification of documents
New Delhi: The Drone Federation of India (DFI) faces serious fraud allegations, including forgery of signatures and falsification of documents. A complaint has been filed with the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), demanding a thorough corruption investigation.
DFI is accused of forging former DGCA Director-General Arun Kumar's signature and misusing the DGCA’s letterhead. According to a complaint to the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA), this forgery allegedly helped DFI gain undue advantages.
RTI activist Tej Pratap Singh, who filed the complaint, stated, “I have been pushing for an investigation into this matter for months. Now, I expect authorities to act.”
Singh also raised concerns about national security, alleging that some DFI-linked companies, working with the Indian Army, had drones spotted in Pakistan.
Last year, DFI was embroiled in another controversy for allegedly issuing a fake pilot license to Quidich Innovation during the IPL 2021 season in Dubai.
There are further claims that DFI and its affiliates manipulated government tenders across sectors like defense, agriculture, and mining, inflating prices through cartelization.
