UP Congress Pays Tribute to Shaheed Bhagat Singh
On Bhagat Singh's birth anniversary, UP Congress leaders honor his legacy with floral tributes.
Lucknow: In honor of Shaheed Bhagat Singh's birth anniversary, Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee Vice President and Administration In-charge Dinesh Kumar Singh led the tribute ceremony at the UP Congress Headquarters. He garlanded Bhagat Singh’s portrait and highlighted his role as a revolutionary freedom fighter. Singh emphasized Bhagat Singh's sacrifice for India's independence and his bravery in challenging British rule.
Singh also recounted the historic moments when Bhagat Singh, alongside Chandrashekhar Azad and other revolutionaries, faced the British government with unparalleled courage. His defiance, notably during the bombing of the Central Assembly in Delhi, ultimately led to his martyrdom on March 23, 1931. Congress leaders, including Dr. Shahzad Alam, Vijay Bahadur, and others, gathered in large numbers to pay homage on this significant occasion.
