Riyadh: On Monday, External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar attended the India-GCC Foreign Ministers' Meeting in Saudi Arabia, focusing on strategic partnerships with GCC leaders including Saudi FM Faisal bin Farhan, Qatar PM Mohammed bin Abdulrahman, and Oman FM Badr Albusaidi.

Jaishankar also met Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani to plan a Joint Commission meeting and discussed global issues with Brazil’s Mauro Vieira. He highlighted his positive engagement with Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya on 'X,' showcasing efforts to enhance bilateral relations.

The visit, featuring a tour of the Saudi National Museum and King Abdulaziz Foundation, emphasized the strengthening India-GCC ties in politics, trade, and culture, while highlighting India’s significant expatriate community in the GCC region.
