IndiGo Flights Face Bomb Threats After Air India Alert
Two IndiGo flights from Mumbai received bomb threats, following an earlier alert on Air India.
Mumbai:Bomb threats to Indian flights have become a growing concern, with two IndiGo flights from Mumbai facing similar alerts just hours after an Air India flight was diverted due to a security scare. Flight 6E 56 to Jeddah and 6E 1275 to Muscat were subjected to mandatory checks on Monday morning after receiving bomb threat warnings. According to IndiGo, the aircraft were directed to isolated bays as per security protocol, where rigorous inspections took place to ensure safety.
Earlier in the day, Air India’s AI 119 was forced to divert to New Delhi mid-air following a “specific security alert” soon after departing from Mumbai en route to New York. While it is unclear if these threats were hoaxes, similar incidents have been reported over the past few months, prompting concerns about increased security threats. Authorities continue to monitor and address these challenges to ensure passenger safety on all Indian flights.
