World Bank, Aqua Bridge Delegation Meet Chief Secretary
The delegation discussed major investment opportunities in fisheries and aquaculture.
Lucknow: Aqua Bridge Group from Abu Dhabi, alongside the World Bank, recently met with Chief Secretary Shri Manoj Kumar Singh to discuss investment prospects in Uttar Pradesh's fisheries and aquaculture sector. Chief Secretary Singh underscored the state's potential, highlighting the disparity between fish consumption and local production. He outlined plans for a state-of-the-art hatchery aimed at enhancing local fish farming and providing fish farmers with high-quality seed and effective practices.
The delegation suggested a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) to develop an integrated aquaculture park featuring a distribution center, a shrimp RAS facility, and various processing centers. Aqua Bridge, recognized for its cutting-edge aquaculture solutions, is eager to pursue this collaboration. Principal Secretary Shri K. Ravindra Nayak and other senior officials also participated in the discussions.
