National Level Webinar on Healthcare Quality

Lucknow. Healthcare quality refers to the degree to which health services for individuals and populations increase the likelihood of desired health outcomes and are consistent with current professional knowledge. It includes various dimensions including effectiveness, efficiency, equity, patient-centricity, safety and timeliness of health care. Improving the quality of health care requires a multi-faceted approach, which includes continuous monitoring and evaluation, adherence to best practices and implementation of quality improvement initiatives.

Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine (ISCCM), Lucknow in collaboration with Quality Cell, Department of Hospital Administration, SGPGI organized a two-day event on 14th and 15th May 2024, aimed at promoting knowledge and awareness among health workers about the latest practices and standards in health care quality. The webinar was held on the second floor of the Telemedicine Auditorium through telemedicine technology, providing a platform for healthcare professionals from across the country to connect, learn and share insights on improving the quality of healthcare.

This initiative reflects the ongoing commitment of ISCCM and the Department of Hospital Administration to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of healthcare delivery in India. The event was inaugurated by Guest of Honour R. Harsh Vardhan, Head of Department, Hospital Administration, Prof. Sanjay Dhiraj, Chief Medical Superintendent, SGPGI, Dr. Prerna Kapoor, Senior Physician, General Hospital and CNO, SGPGI Usha Tekri.
