Sanchita Ugale Grandfather Refutes Lack Of Work Suicide Rumors
Late actor Sanchita Ugale's grandfather Gopinath broke his silence refuting false rumors that a lack of work caused her suicide.
Mumbai : Following the tragic passing of 22-year-old television actor Sanchita Ugale, her grandfather, Gopinath, has officially broken his silence to dismiss widespread media speculations suggesting that a lack of professional work drove her to take the extreme step. Sanchita, widely recognized for her prominent roles in popular television serials such as Kumkum Bhagya and Wagle Ki Duniya, was tragically found dead at her residence in Nalasopara, Palghar district, after allegedly dying by suicide.
Shortly after the news broke, rumors began circulating online that financial stress and a shortage of acting opportunities had severely impacted her mental state. Refuting these claims, her grandfather broke down during an emotional media interaction. He clarified that Sanchita was professionally active and had several projects lined up.
"No, she had work as well," Gopinath stated, strongly dismissing the unemployment narrative. "It is deeply painful. Why she did this, only God knows what was going on in her mind. It is completely beyond our understanding." Gopinath proudly recalled how his granddaughter had built her acting career completely on her own merit without any industry backing. "She was an extremely talented girl.
She did not have a godfather. Nothing was lacking in her life, and she achieved everything through her own hard work," he added, noting that her popularity was so immense that locals in her home district primarily recognized her by her character names.
Meanwhile, the Achole police have registered an Accidental Death Report (ADR) based on a statement provided by her father, who maintained that he does not suspect any foul play. While police have launched a comprehensive investigation to ascertain the exact circumstances behind the tragedy, close friends of the late actor revealed that she had been fighting a quiet battle against severe depression.
