Massive fire breaks out in Noida high-rise following AC blast; CM Yogi Adityanath orders immediate rescue operations.
Nodia : A massive fire broke out on the 22nd floor of a high-rise residential building in Noida on Monday morning, triggering panic among the residents. The incident took place at the Aranya Society located in Sector 119. Preliminary investigations by local authorities suggest that a sudden blast in an air conditioning (AC) unit triggered the major blaze.
Upon receiving the emergency call, the Gautam Buddh Nagar Fire Service department quickly dispatched six fire tenders to the location. The Chief Fire Officer (CFO), along with local police teams from the Sector 113 station, rushed to the spot to personally supervise the complex firefighting and rescue operations. Thanks to the prompt response of the emergency teams, the raging flames were successfully brought under control before they could spread to adjacent apartments or lower floors.
Officials later confirmed that the entire building was safely evacuated, and fortunately, no casualties or injuries were reported in the incident. Taking immediate cognisance of the situation, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath issued strict directives from Lucknow. He instructed senior administrative and police officials to reach the spot without delay to oversee the relief operations.
CM Yogi Adityanath’s Directive: The Chief Minister ordered authorities to expedite rescue efforts, ensure top-tier medical treatment for any affected residents, and maintain absolute administrative vigilance to continuously monitor the situation. With intense summer temperatures hitting the region, fire department officials have reiterated warnings regarding the regular maintenance and safe operations of cooling units to prevent such hazardous electrical short-circuits and compressor malfunctions in high-rise societies.
