THANE- Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) is officially ready to commence commercial operations on December 25. CIDCO officials confirmed that the first day will feature 30 aircraft movements, marking a historic milestone that will significantly decongest the existing Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Airport.
This massive greenfield project is expected to accelerate regional development, attract global investments, and enhance multi-modal connectivity. Domestic carriers like IndiGo and Air India Express will lead the initial phase, connecting Navi Mumbai to major cities across the country starting Thursday.
