NEW DELHI-In a major boost to India’s infrastructure, Jindal Steel on Monday announced plans to double its structural steel capacity at the Raigarh plant. The facility will expand from 1.2 MTPA to 2.4 MTPA by mid-2028, targeting heavy and ultra-heavy sections.
This expansion leverages the company's mine-to-metal model to support large-scale projects like bridges and high-rise buildings. By producing India's largest parallel flange sections, the Naveen Jindal Group aims to significantly reduce the nation's reliance on imported heavy structural steel.
