PANAJI- Chief Justice of India Surya Kant has emphasized the urgent need for a national-level legal academy to equip lawyers with advanced skills. Speaking in Goa, he highlighted that while Artificial Intelligence (AI) aids the judiciary, it also fuels sophisticated, unheard-of cybercrimes.
The CJI stated that periodic training is essential for the Bar to handle evolving technological threats. He urged the Bar Council to establish dedicated institutes where domain experts can prepare legal professionals to protect litigants against complex AI-driven legal challenges.
