IFFCO Phulpur Level-3 Ammonia Leak Mock Drill
Prayagraj officials and IFFCO conduct a massive Level-3 off-site emergency drill simulating toxic ammonia leakage.
PRAYAGRAJ-Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative Limited (IFFCO Phulpur) successfully executed a Level-3 off-site emergency mock drill to test industrial disaster readiness. In collaboration with the Prayagraj district administration, the exercise simulated a two-stage ammonia leakage, evaluating rapid response and inter-agency coordination.
Led by Unit Head P.K. Singh and Naib Tehsildar RK Shukla, the drill strictly followed Factories Act 1948 safety protocols. Chief Fire Officer Chandra Mohan Sharma emphasized public and animal safety, while observers from GAIL and NTPC reviewed the emergency's transition from on-site to off-site status.
