NEW DELHI- The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has registered a case under the PMLA against Maulana Shamsul Huda Khan, a UK-based Islamic preacher from Uttar Pradesh. This action follows a UP ATS investigation into his alleged ties with the Pakistan-based radical group 'Dawat-e-Islami' and suspicious international fund transfers.
Officials claim Khan acquired British citizenship in 2013 but continued drawing a government salary from an Indian madrasa until 2017. He is accused of amassing over ₹30 crore in illegal assets across India using foreign funds funneled through his NGO, Raja Foundation, to spread extremist ideologies.
