Commissioner Soumya Aggarwal Reviews Voter Lists at St. Joseph’s; Orders Data Cleanup

Prayagraj : In a push for electoral accuracy, Divisional Commissioner and Roll Observer Soumya Aggarwal conducted a high-level inspection of the polling center at St. Joseph's Girls Inter College, Mumfordganj, on Sunday. The visit was part of the special intensive revision campaign for the Allahabad North (262) Assembly Constituency.

During the audit, Commissioner Aggarwal focused heavily on the visual and structural integrity of the electoral rolls. She issued strict directives to Booth Level Officers (BLOs) to replace blurred, dated, or poor-quality photographs with high-resolution updates to ensure foolproof identification.

A key priority highlighted was family synchronization; the Commissioner ordered that families currently split across different booths be consolidated into single polling stations for convenience. Furthermore, she emphasized that no eligible voter be left behind, instructing staff to proactively use Form 6 for new enrollments and Form 8 for correcting clerical errors regarding age, gender, or addresses.

Interacting with locals, Aggarwal verified the transparency of the process. Voters expressed satisfaction with the on-site assistance provided by BLOs Geeta Kumari, Danpatti Verma, and others. Sub-Collector Sadar Abhishek Singh accompanied the Commissioner during the inspection to ensure immediate implementation of these guidelines.
