374 New Nursing Officers Join State Medical Institutes

Kanpur / Lucknow : Marking a significant milestone for the state’s healthcare infrastructure, the Uttar Pradesh Department of Medical Education hosted a prestigious appointment letter distribution ceremony at Lok Bhawan on Sunday. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath personally handed over the responsibilities to the top-ranking candidates, signaling a new era of strengthened medical services across the region.

A total of 374 newly selected nursing officers were inducted during the 2026 session. The distribution breakdown includes:

• 337 Nursing Officers for various state medical institutes and the prestigious GSVM Medical College.
• 22 Nursing Officers for the LPS Institute of Cardiology.
• 15 Nursing Officers for the JK Cancer Institute.

Senior officials from the Medical Education Department emphasized that the recruitment process was conducted with "absolute transparency and meritocracy." Beyond their academic qualifications, these officers have undergone specialized training focused on operating modern medical equipment and delivering empathetic, high-sensitivity nursing care.

The event saw a strong presence of medical luminaries and faculty from GSVM Medical College, including Nodal Officer Dr. Dolly Rastogi, alongside Dr. Parul Singh, Dr. Namrata Patel, and Dr. Prashant Priyadarshi, among others.

Addressing the gathering, the newly appointed officers expressed profound gratitude, pledging their commitment to serving the state's citizens. This massive recruitment drive is viewed as a strategic move to bridge the gap in specialized patient care and modernize the nursing workforce within Uttar Pradesh’s premier medical institutions.
