Massive Fire Devastates Baddi Pharmaceutical Unit; No Casualties Reported In Incident

Baddi : A catastrophic fire broke out at a prominent pharmaceutical manufacturing unit in the Baddi industrial area of Solan district early this morning. The blaze, which rapidly spread across the facility, sent thick plumes of black smoke into the sky, triggering panic among nearby residents and workers. Fortunately, authorities have confirmed that no casualties or injuries have been reported so far.

The fire reportedly started around 4:00 AM in the raw material storage section of the plant. Given the highly inflammable chemical compounds and solvents stored on the premises, the flames escalated exponentially, engulfing the main production blocks within minutes.

Over a dozen fire tenders from Baddi, Nalagarh, and neighboring areas were rushed to the scene. Firefighters battled the raging inferno for more than six hours before bringing it under control. Emergency response teams acted swiftly to evacuate a skeleton crew of night-shift workers who were present on-site when the incident occurred, preventing a potential tragedy.

"The cause of the fire is currently unknown, though a short circuit is suspected. Our primary focus was containing the chemical-fueled blaze to prevent it from spreading to adjacent industrial units," stated a senior fire department official.

While the structural integrity of the factory has been severely compromised and property worth millions has been reduced to ashes, the automated safety containment systems managed to prevent major chemical leaks into the surrounding environment.
