Prayagraj DM Urges Citizens to Use Form 6 as Electoral Roll Digitization Wraps Up

Prayagraj : In a strategic move to ensure a robust and error-free electoral roll, District Magistrate and District Election Officer Manish Kumar Verma chaired a high-level meeting at Sangam Auditorium on Friday. Addressing representatives of recognized national and state political parties, the DM announced that the intensive revision of the assembly constituency electoral rolls is in its final stages.

Data revealed that the mapping of 32,05,981 voters—representing 90.78% of the total electoral base—was successfully completed as of 8:00 AM on December 26. Highlighting the urgency, the District Magistrate informed attendees that today marks the final day for digitization, after which the database will be "frozen" for the publication of the draft electoral roll on December 31.

The administration has placed a special focus on youth and missing voters. "Form 6 is the gateway to democratic participation for anyone who has reached 18 years of age or will do so by the qualifying date of January 1, 2026," DM Verma stated. He further clarified that even those whose names were previously in the list but are currently missing should promptly submit Form 6. These applications will be integrated into the final draft roll scheduled for release on February 28, 2026.

Booth Level Officers (BLOs) have been equipped with Form 6 and Annexure-4 to facilitate this massive voter creation campaign. The District Magistrate called upon political representatives to act as bridge-builders between the public and BLOs to ensure no eligible citizen is left behind. The meeting was attended by Deputy District Election Officer Pooja Mishra along with several key election officials.
