Prayagraj Railway Division Launches Soft Skill & Crisis Training for Magh Mela 2026

Prayagraj : As the historic city prepares for the spiritual congregation of Magh Mela 2026, the Prayagraj Railway Division has shifted its focus from infrastructure to the human element of service. In a proactive move to ensure the comfort of millions of pilgrims, the administration has launched an intensive training program at the Divisional Office auditorium to refine the soft skills and emergency response capabilities of its frontline staff.

Starting December 22, employees across various verticals—including Commercial, Power, S&T, Security, RPF, and GRP—are undergoing specialized orientation. On December 26 alone, 134 employees were trained, bringing the total count to over 400 personnel. The curriculum is designed to transform the passenger-railway interaction, focusing on professional attire, positive body language, and the art of empathetic listening.

Beyond behavioral etiquette, the training covers critical technical areas such as firefighting, basic medical aid, and rapid decision-making under pressure. Staff members are also being briefed on the intricate geographical layout of the fair-area stations and the specific crowd-movement plans designed for the Mela period.

"The goal is to move beyond just providing a platform; we want to provide a helpful, patient, and motivating environment for the pilgrims," a railway official stated. By training volunteers and staff to find quick solutions and maintain composure during peak hours, the Prayagraj Division aims to set a new benchmark in spiritual tourism logistics and hospitality for the 2026 fair.
