Ward building of hospital constructed with India's financial assistance in Nepal inaugurated

Kathmandu. Ward building of Dhulikhel Hospital, funded by the Government of India, in Dhulikhel Municipality in Kavrepalanchowk area of Nepal was inaugurated on Wednesday. The project was inaugurated by First Secretary, Indian Embassy, Kathmandu, Avinash Kumar Singh.
The ward building of Dhulikhel Hospital in Dhulikhel Municipality, Kavrepalanchowk was inaugurated today by First Secretary Shri Avinash Kumar Singh, the Indian Embassy in Nepal said in a post on 'X'.
The post further said that this High Impact Community Development Project (HICDP) is constructed with the financial assistance of the Government of India under 'Nepal-India Development Cooperation'.
The Indian Embassy in Kathmandu said in a statement that the project has incurred a total cost of 42.60 million Nepalese rupees (NPR). The grant from the Government of India has been used for the construction of the ward building along with other facilities for this hospital. The statement said that this project is an important example of strong development partnership between India and Nepal.
The Mayor of Dhulikhel Municipality, other political representatives and hospital administration present on the occasion appreciated the continuous developmental support of the Government of India in the upliftment of the people of Nepal in priority areas.
The establishment of the ward building will help in providing quality infrastructure and better environment for healthcare to the people in Nepal. Since 2003, the Government of India has initiated more than 551 HICDPs in various sectors in Nepal, out of which 490 projects have been completed.
