7th Sparch Theatre Mahotsav Set to Light Up Mumbai with Power-Packed Performances
7th Sparch Theatre Mahotsav brings 3 days of powerful Hindi plays to Mumbai, supported by India’s Ministry of Culture.

Mumbai. Theatre enthusiasts in Mumbai are in for a grand treat as the 7th Sparch Theatre Mahotsav (Pledge India for Theatre), supported by the Ministry of Culture, is set to take center stage from June 23 to 25, 2025, at the Prabodhankar Thackeray Auditorium, Borivali West, Mumbai, Maharashtra.
Organized by Sparch Theatre Repertory in association with Sindhu Natya Rang, this three-day cultural extravaganza will bring together a diverse selection of powerful Hindi plays, featuring talented artists and seasoned directors from across the country. Each day, audiences will witness back-to-back performances from 3 PM to 7 PM, offering an immersive theatre experience celebrating India’s rich dramatic traditions.
The Mahotsav Schedule:
Day 1: June 23, 2025
Karma — A Hindi play written by Khushbu Gupta, designed and directed by Rishu Gupta, will be performed by Sparch Theatre Repertory.
Day 2: June 24, 2025
Dedh Inch Uppar — A Hindi play written by acclaimed author Nirmal Verma, designed, directed, and performed by Kuldeep Vashisth under the banner of Arts New Way Organization.
Ek Pal Adhura — Another gripping Hindi play written by Mukesh B.S. Jhadav, designed and directed by Shashank Raut, performed by Ambashonam Dream Arts.
Day 3: June 25, 2025
Adhi Raat Ke Baad — Written by the late Dr. Shaker Shesh, designed and directed by Rishu Gupta, this Hindi play will be performed by Sparch Theatre Repertory.
Khwahish — Written by Ishan Patkar, designed and directed jointly by Mukesh B.S. Jhadav and Ishan Patkar, to be performed by Makking Arts.
The festival not only promises artistic excellence but also aims to promote and preserve India’s theatre heritage while providing a platform for emerging and veteran theatre professionals to connect with wider audiences.
Several notable personalities from the fields of politics, television, film, social service, and the arts are expected to grace the event, adding to its prestige and visibility.
The grand inauguration ceremony will witness the presence of several dignitaries, including Borivali MLA Sanjay Upadhyaji, Ex-Corporator Shiva Shetty, and Ex-MP of North Mumbai Gopal Shetty Ji, who will officially open the Mahotsav.
The Sparch Theatre Mahotsav has, over the years, become a significant cultural event, drawing attention from theatre lovers not only in Mumbai but from across the country. This 7th edition continues its mission to reignite public interest in live performances and foster the growth of India’s theatre community.
