IFFCO Phulpur Celebrates 79th Independence Day with Patriotism and a Focus on Agricultural Innovation

Prayagraj : The IFFCO (Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited) Phulpur unit at Ghiyapur celebrated the 79th Independence Day with immense pride and a strong sense of patriotism. The event was graced by Senior Executive Director (Unit Head) Sanjay Kudeshia as the chief guest, with Vinita Kudeshia as the guest of honor.

The ceremony commenced with the dignified hoisting of the national flag by the chief guest, followed by the singing of the national anthem. The atmosphere was charged with national fervor as the New Gen Security Guards, SIS Security Guards, and students from Kendriya Vidyalaya's Scout-Guide presented a crisp march past, saluting the chief guest.

In his address, Sanjay Kudeshia emphasized that Independence Day is a time to remember and honor the valor and sacrifices of the nation's soldiers. He lauded IFFCO's Managing Director, K.J. Patel, for his strong determination and visionary approach, noting how he is effectively carrying forward the legacy he inherited from Dr. U.S. Awasthi. Kudeshia also praised IFFCO Chairman Dilip Sanghani for his strong preference for using and consuming indigenously manufactured goods, promoting the "Made in India" concept.

Highlighting the vital role of agriculture in India's economy, Kudeshia stated that it is the backbone of the country, contributing 19% to the GDP and providing employment to 50% of the population. He spoke at length about the benefits of nano fertilizers, noting their role in maintaining soil quality, increasing yields at a lower cost, and boosting food grain production. He pointed out that this innovation would help the central government save on subsidies, freeing up funds to be used for other farmer-centric welfare schemes.

He also commended the Mahila Chetna Club for their social upliftment work and IFFCO Cordate for their initiatives aimed at farmers' welfare. Furthermore, he lauded IFFCO's Integrated Rural Development Program, which provides support for constructing classrooms and toilets for rural children and installing hand pumps for clean drinking water in local villages.

The ceremony also featured delightful cultural performances by children from Kendriya Vidyalaya and Om Bal Vidya Mandir. As a recognition of their contributions, award-winning employees from the "Suggestion Scheme," meritorious students, and local village heads were honored. The event was smoothly anchored by Sharad Agnihotri. The celebration saw a large gathering, including Executive Director (Technical) Sanjay Vaishya, senior officials, and union representatives.
