Hygienic Research Institute Names Saloni Sharma as New Head of HR

Mumbai. In a strategic move to bolster its leadership team, Hygienic Research Institute Pvt. Ltd. (HRIPL), a leading name in India’s FMCG sector, has announced the appointment of Saloni Sharma as its new Head of Human Resources. The company, known for popular personal care brands such as Streax, Vasmol, and Florozone, believes this new leadership will be crucial for its future growth trajectory.

Saloni Sharma brings with her a wealth of experience, spanning over 18 years in leadership roles across both large corporations and high-growth startups. Her career is marked by a strong track record in key HR functions, including Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Learning & Development, and Compensation & Benefits. She is well-regarded for her ability to develop and implement people-centric strategies for large workforces, often exceeding 1,000 employees. Her expertise lies in driving organizational transformation, fostering talent development, and championing inclusive workplace practices.

Before joining HRIPL, Saloni served as the Head of HR at LEAD School, a major EdTech company. In this role, she played a vital part in integrating acquired businesses and cultivating a "pay-for-performance" culture. She was also instrumental in implementing AI-led engagement tools and building robust leadership capabilities. Her tenure at Godrej Consumer Products Ltd., where she spent over a decade, saw her lead several impactful HR initiatives. These included setting up new business channels, redesigning talent management processes, and pioneering Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) platforms like 'Manch,' which specifically supported women in sales roles.

Saloni’s career began at the Essar Group, where she managed global compensation and benefits at the corporate level. Her academic background is equally impressive; she is a Chartered Accountant and holds an MBA in HR from SCMHRD. This unique combination of financial acumen and HR expertise positions her to align people strategy directly with business outcomes, a skill highly valued in today's corporate environment.

Dheeraj Arora, MD & CEO of HRIPL, expressed his confidence in the new appointment. "At HRIPL, our people are central to our growth. We are thrilled to have Saloni join our leadership team. Her extensive experience across diverse sectors like FMCG and EdTech, combined with her focus on building future-ready talent, will be essential as we continue to strengthen our culture, accelerate growth, and deliver value to both our consumers and employees," he said.

Saloni Sharma shared her excitement about her new role, stating, "I am incredibly excited to join HRIPL during this key period of its growth. The company’s strong brand legacy, dynamic vision, and people-first approach truly resonate with me. I look forward to working with the leadership team to nurture talent, promote inclusivity, and create an empowering environment where every HRIGER can thrive and grow together."
