Salesforce Marks 10 Years in India with Bold Plan to Train 1 Million in AI by 2030
Salesforce celebrates 10 years in India by committing to skill one million learners in AI and CRM by 2030.
Lucknow : Celebrating a decade of innovation at its Indian Centre of Excellence (CoE), Salesforce has announced an ambitious initiative to equip one million learners across India with advanced AI and CRM skills by 2030. The enterprise tech giant aims to look beyond basic digital literacy, focusing instead on preparing the nation's workforce for the rapidly evolving AI-driven job market.
The initiative will leverage Trailhead, Salesforce’s free gamified online learning platform. To achieve this massive scale, the company is launching integrated strategic programs that unite academic institutions, industry leaders, and government bodies.
Reflecting on the milestone, Arundhati Bhattacharya, President and CEO of Salesforce South Asia, emphasized India's leadership role in the tech sector.
"India has earned its place at the center of the global technology story — not by following trends, but by shaping them," Bhattacharya stated. "Our commitment to skill 1 million learners by 2030 reflects a firm belief that India's workforce is not just ready for the AI economy — it is ready to lead it."
The announcement aligns with the Indian government's push for digital empowerment. Buddha Chandrasekhar, Chief Coordinating Officer at AICTE (Ministry of Education), highlighted the value of industry-academia collaboration in bridging the gap between traditional classrooms and cutting-edge industry needs. Through curriculum integration, faculty enablement, and virtual internships, the partnership aims to build a sustainable, tech-ready talent pipeline.
As AI reshapes global businesses, Salesforce’s decade-strong presence in India is evolving from building software to building the future architects of the global digital economy.
