Women’s Awareness Program Organized Under Mission Shakti Phase-5 in Lucknow

Lucknow:In a continued effort to promote women's safety and rights, an awareness program was organized in the Aliganj area of Lucknow on Friday under Mission Shakti Phase-5. The event, attended by female police officers including SI Pragati Singh and SI Aashi Gupta, aimed to educate women and girls about their rights and the services available for their protection. Key information regarding helplines such as 1090 Women’s Helpline, 112 Emergency Service, and the Women Power Line was shared to enhance safety awareness.

The program highlighted the various initiatives undertaken by Uttar Pradesh Police to safeguard women, including the activation of women’s helplines, smart city cameras, and increased field police patrolling. As part of Mission Shakti, women were informed about self-defense techniques and government schemes designed to support them, with the ultimate goal of fostering a culture of respect, safety, and equality for women in society.
