The makers of OM – Chapter 1: Udhiram – The Blood Wood have officially announced a new release date: November 20, 2026. A striking poster shows Dhanush and Mammootty holding guns against a coastal backdrop, setting the tone for this much-awaited Pan-Indian action film from director Rajkumar Periasamy.
The announcement follows the postponement of the earlier October 16 release. The film is produced by RTake Studios, led by Shraddha Agrawal, along with Azmat Jagmag, while Dhanush backs it under Wunderbar Films. Sai Pallavi, Sreeleela and Naseeruddin Shah also play prominent roles in this large-scale theatrical venture.
Anticipation has been building through OM First Strike, Mammootty's character reveal as Burma Karthikeyan, and the first single Alaakaa Loova. With music by Sai Abhyankkar, cinematography by Ezhil Arasu K. and action by Yannick Ben and Kecha Khamphakdee, OM is poised to be one of the biggest upcoming Indian movies of the season.
