Governor Lauds Ladli Foundation's Efforts Towards Women Empowerment And Social Service

Shimla :  In a significant boost to women's welfare initiatives in the region, Himachal Pradesh Governor Kavinder Gupta has highly commended the Ladli Foundation for its unwavering commitment to women empowerment and community-centric social service.

During a courtesy meeting held at Lok Bhavan, the Governor officially unveiled the promotional poster for the newly structured "Ladli Swarozgar Yojana – Empowered Women, Empowered Himachal."  The freshly launched initiative by the Ladli Foundation explicitly aims to foster grassroots entrepreneurship and sustainable self-employment models among local women.

By providing dedicated platforms for vulnerable women to effectively market and sell products derived from their unique talents and traditional craftsmanship, the project directly encourages long-term financial independence.

Congratulating the organization's representatives, Governor Gupta expressed firm confidence that programs championing self-reliance would significantly accelerate the socio-economic development of the entire state. He noted that serving humanity reflects the highest spiritual calling, urging civil society to actively participate in public welfare setups.

Earlier in the session, Ladli Foundation State President Shalu Akhtar, alongside coordinator Diksha Sharma, thoroughly briefed the Governor regarding the NGO's expansive fifteen-year legacy of executing targeted social safety nets in India.

The dignitaries highlighted how the Swarozgar framework equips underprivileged households with sustainable livelihood opportunities to break persistent cycles of economic dependence. Senior executive members, including Geetanjali Sharma, Meenakshi Sharma, Geeta Sood, Sheela Singh, and Neetu, attended the high-profile interactive launch.
