NEW DELHI- New Delhi authorities have significantly increased security measures outside the Bangladesh High Commission today. Anticipating a major demonstration by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal against the persecution of Hindus in Bangladesh, police have established triple-layered barricading around the diplomatic zone.
Additional paramilitary forces are stationed to prevent any breach of security as protesters gathered with placards denouncing the recent violence. The VHP demands immediate international intervention to ensure the safety of religious minorities and the protection of Hindu temples in the neighbouring country.
