Man Arrested In Himachal Pradesh For Issuing Death Threat To CM Sukhu.

Shimla : The Himachal Pradesh Police have arrested a man for allegedly posting death threats and highly objectionable, abusive content against Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on social media platforms. The arrest was made following a swift coordinated operation by the state's Cyber Crime Cell and local police.

The action was initiated after a formal complaint was lodged by local representatives, who flagged the offensive post that was rapidly circulating across public digital networks.

According to senior police officials, the accused had intentionally generated a malicious post containing derogatory remarks targeting the Chief Minister's character, alongside explicit threats to his personal safety. Recognizing the gravity of a direct threat to the head of the state government, cyber investigators immediately deployed advanced digital tracking tools to establish the IP address and physical location of the user.

Officials emphasized that publishing inflammatory materials, death threats, or abusive remarks against any citizen or public official constitutes a non-bailable offense and will be met with absolute legal severity to preserve social harmony.
