SUKMA/BIJAPUR-In a massive blow to Left-Wing Extremism, security forces gunned down over 12 Naxalites in separate encounters across Chhattisgarh's Bastar region this Saturday. The operations, concentrated in Sukma and Bijapur, involved intense gunfights as elite units conducted strategic anti-Maoist sweeps.
Specialized units including the District Reserve Guard (DRG) and CoBRA recovered bodies and a cache of automatic weapons from the dense forests. These decisive strikes align with the Union government's resolve to make the region Naxal-free by March 2026.
