Samsung Innovation Campus Empowers 1,000 UP Youths with Future-Ready Tech Skills

Lucknow : In a significant boost to India’s digital workforce, Samsung Electronics certified 1,000 students in Uttar Pradesh under its flagship 'Samsung Innovation Campus' program on Tuesday. The certification ceremony, held at Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Language University, featured Yogendra Upadhyay, the State Minister for Higher Education, as the chief guest.

The graduating batch included students from Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Language University, Government Girls Polytechnic, and Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology for Divyangjan. The curriculum focused on three core pillars of modern technology:

• Artificial Intelligence (AI): 600 students certified.
• Coding & Programming: 300 students certified.
• Internet of Things (IoT): 100 students certified.

With this latest cohort, the total number of Samsung-certified youth in Uttar Pradesh has climbed to 4,900, cementing the state's position as a premier hub for high-tech vocational training.

Minister Yogendra Upadhyay lauded the initiative, stating that such corporate-academic partnerships are vital for bridging the gap between traditional education and industry requirements. Shubham Mukherjee, Head of CSR and Corporate Communications at Samsung Southwest Asia, emphasized that the program is designed to prepare Indian youth for the global digital economy by providing not just technical expertise, but also soft skills and placement support.

A notable highlight of the nationwide program is its inclusivity, maintaining nearly 45% female participation. Launched in India in 2022, the Samsung Innovation Campus aims to eventually train 20,000 youth across the country, strengthening India’s position as a global technology powerhouse.
