NCR organized Swachhata Hi Seva Pakhwada started from today

Prayagraj : Like every year, this year also Swachhata Hi Seva Pakhwada is being organized by North Central Railway from 17 September to 2 October 2025. This year Swachhata Hi Seva Pakhwada is being celebrated as “Swachhotsav” in North Central Railway. Under Swachhata Hi Seva Pakhwada, every day is being celebrated as a day.

This fortnight will be started with Swachhata Pledge in all divisions, factories and stations along with the headquarters. Various activities related to cleanliness awareness and cleanliness are to be organized in this entire fortnight and these activities include total cleanliness, cleanliness target unit, cleanliness friend security camp, massive tree plantation, competition and street play on cleanliness, marathon, waste to art, youth campaign, cleaning of water sources etc. In this campaign, those places are also being identified where parallel cleaning is not possible and these places will be cleaned completely. A total of 8100 such places have been identified in North Central Railway. Along with cleaning, it will also be ensured that the garbage that comes out after cleaning will be completely disposed of.

Along with government efforts, participation of the general public is also expected in this campaign. North Central Railway requests the passengers not to spread food items here and there in the trains, throw garbage only in the dustbin, do not use single use plastic, separate dustbins have been installed for wet and dry garbage on the platform, please use the right dustbin, do not eat paan gutkha in the station premises, do not misuse water. Bio toilets are installed in all the trains of North Central Railway, hence passengers are requested not to throw any kind of garbage in the toilet.
