Prayagraj Budding Star Ayesha Alam Shines at National Cub-Bulbul Festival, Bags First Prize in Painting

Prayagraj : Demonstrating exceptional talent, confidence, and creativity, three young Bulbuls from North Central Railway, Prayagraj, brought immense pride to their division at the five-day National Cub-Bulbul Bal Mahotsav held at the District Training Centre, Aishbagh, Lucknow, organized by North Eastern Railway. Amidst nearly 250 participants representing 10 states across the nation, Ayesha Alam emerged victorious by securing the first position in the individual painting competition.

Ayesha Alam, daughter of Assistant Personnel Officer (Raj & Hit) Nawab Alam, claimed the top honor through her mesmerizing artwork based on the theme “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” (A Tree in Mother’s Name). Meanwhile, Arvi Agarwal, daughter of State Commissioner (Scout) and Additional Chief Medical Officer Subedarganj Dr. Ashish Agarwal, along with Arna Pal, daughter of Power Control Headquarters Subedarganj Technician Grade-I Ram Singh Pal, captivated the audience with their stylish ramp walk during the fancy dress competition.

The grand festival featured a diverse array of events, including painting, fancy dress, sports activities, a handicraft exhibition, and a vibrant food plaza. The handicraft section encouraged children to craft useful and attractive items, showcasing their artistic thoughts. Additionally, the unique "fireless cooking" segment at the food plaza allowed young participants to display their culinary skills, hygiene standards, presentation, and resourcefulness, fostering early self-reliance and practical life skills.

Recognizing their stellar performances, Surekha Srivastava, Deputy Director (Guide) of The Bharat Scouts and Guides, National Headquarters, New Delhi, felicitated Ayesha Alam, Arvi Agarwal, and Arna Pal with prestigious awards. Guided by Flock Leader Pooja Sharma (Subedarganj) and State Organizing Commissioner (Guide) Manju Joshi (North Central Railway), the trio actively participated across multiple events despite constrained participant numbers mandated by the national headquarters.

Spanning five days, the festival hosted a total of 13 unique competitions for children aged 7 to 10 years, with the core objective of cultivating creativity, discipline, self-confidence, teamwork, leadership qualities, and essential life skills.

The entire North Central Railway and Bharat Scouts & Guides family in Prayagraj extended heartfelt congratulations to the young achievers, urging parents to introduce children to scouting and guiding from an early age to nurture their hidden potential and foster self-dependency.
