Maharshi Valmiki Jayanti Celebrated with Grand Devotion and Religious Fervour Across Prayagraj

Prayagraj : Maharshi Valmiki Jayanti was celebrated with immense devotion and enthusiasm across Prayagraj district on Monday, with sacred Shringverpur Dham serving as the central hub of grand festivities. Organized under the guidance of the Department of Culture (Uttar Pradesh Government), District Administration, and the Akhil Bharatiya Ramayan Mela Samiti, the celebration brought together spiritual leaders, public representatives, and thousands of devotees.

Swami Chidanand Saraswati Ji Maharaj, Head of Parmarth Niketan, Rishikesh, graced the occasion as the chief guest at Shringverpur Dham. The event commenced with sacred rituals including special prayers at the Shrongi Rishi and Mata Shanta temple, followed by traditional Ganga Pujan and a serene evening Ganga Aarti along the banks of the holy river.

Devotees gathered at the venue immersed themselves in continuous recitations of the Valmiki Ramayana, soulful bhajan renditions, and a mesmerizing ceremonial lamp-lighting (deep prajwalan). The occasion saw the divine presence of Revered Kamalnayan Maharaj Ji of Hanuman Garhi Ayodhya Dham, Atul Ji Maharaj, and Madhav Ji Maharaj. Prominent dignitaries including MP Praveen Patel, Phaphamau MLA Guru Prasad Maurya, and National President of Scheduled Caste Morcha Babulal Bhanwra also attended the spiritual gathering. The event was seamlessly coordinated by Rakesh Kumar Verma, Regional Archives Officer, Prayagraj.

Beyond Shringverpur, Valmiki Jayanti was celebrated with equal fervor at several iconic shrines across Prayagraj. Grand spiritual programs, kirtans, and devotional assemblies were held at the Lete Hanuman Ji Temple, Hanuman Temple on Gohri Road (Soraon), Ram Janaki Temple in Sirsa Meja, and the Maharshi Valmiki Temple in Laktaha Panasa.
