Enthralling 'Maharaas' Performance by Gita Shodh Sansthan Trainees Marks Sharad Purnima in Vrindavan

Vrindavan: On the auspicious occasion of Sharad Purnima, the young trainees of the Gita Shodh Sansthan and Raasleela Academy brought the rich cultural heritage of Braj to life with a captivating Maharaas performance titled "Shri Krishna Ke Prem." Held at the Swami Haridas Auditorium, the grand cultural showcase deeply moved the audience through a fusion of traditional Raasleela, Mayur (peacock) dance, and vibrant Dandiya recitals.

The narrative unfolded through evocative dance and emotional expression, with Poonam Kumari and Ajay embodying the role of Shri Krishna, while Tamanna and Tanya portrayed Radha. Their portrayal of divine love, devotion, and the mystical pastimes of Radha-Krishna resonated strongly with the attendees. Following the main Maharaas, the lively Mayur and Dandiya dance routines added a dynamic flair to the evening's festivities.

The musical ensemble featured Akash Sharma on the harmonium, Manmohan Kaushik on the sarangi, and Sunil Pathak alongside Keshav Pathak on the tabla. Choreography was directed by Mansi Rajput, while Ritu Singh led the overall staging, direction, and cosmetics/styling arrangements.

The event concluded with a felicitation ceremony where Chief Guest Mukesh Saraswat (Deputy Mayor of Mathura-Vrindavan Municipal Corporation), along with prominent dignitaries including spiritual leader Gaurang Das, literary figures Ajeeb Anjum and Anjana Anjum, Vinay Goswami (Founder of Bansuri Sansthan), and BJP leaders Pooja Choudhary and Sonam Choudhary were present. The music and dance instructors were honored with commemorative mementos on behalf of the Uttar Pradesh Braj Teerth Vikas Parishad.

Chandra Pratap Singh Sikarwar, Coordinator of the Gita Shodh Sansthan and Raasleela Academy, conducted the proceedings while overseeing the stage direction and introducing guests to the institute's ongoing projects. Key operational support for the successful event was extended by technical specialist R.P. Singh, Assistant Engineer Doodhnath Yadav, and Braj culture expert Dr. Umesh Chandra Sharma from the UP Braj Teerth Vikas Parishad.
