Kanpur Turns Into a Medical Knowledge Hub as Uppathcon 2026 Brings Doctors and Academicians Together

Kanpur: The city has become a meeting point for the medical fraternity with the start of Uppathcon 2026, a conference organised by Regency Health. Doctors, specialists and educators from across the field have gathered under one roof to exchange experience, discuss new ideas and strengthen academic dialogue.

The inaugural ceremony was graced by Prof. Vinay Kumar Pathak, Vice-Chancellor of Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University (CSJMU), who attended as chief guest. The event also drew several senior clinicians and medical experts.

Among the distinguished guests was Dr. Atul Kapoor, Chairman and Managing Director of Regency Health and Patron of Uppathcon. Dr. Shilpa Wahikar, President of UPIAPM, and Dr. Atin Singhai, Secretary of UPIAPM, were also present. The organising team was represented by Dr. Anjali Tiwari, Organising Chairperson, and Dr. Deepti Gupta, Organising Secretary.

A key moment of the conference was the felicitation of two veteran academicians with Lifetime Achievement Awards. Prof. V. K. Pratap, former head of department at Meerut Medical College, and Prof. S. N. Singh, former head of department at GSVM Medical College, were honoured for their long contribution to medical education and practice.

Uppathcon 2026 is more than a series of lectures. A National Quiz gives participants a competitive platform to test and sharpen their medical knowledge. Alongside it, an IVD (In-Vitro Diagnostics) exhibition displays the latest technologies and innovations in diagnostics, giving delegates a close look at tools that are shaping modern healthcare.

Organisers say the conference is meant to promote medical education, encourage the sharing of knowledge and build a culture of continuous learning. By bringing seasoned experts and younger professionals together, the event aims to create room for mentorship, fresh perspectives and collaboration.

With academic sessions, recognition for senior mentors, a quiz and a technology showcase, Uppathcon 2026 offers participants a rich mix of learning and networking. Attendees said such forums are essential for keeping pace with fast-changing medical science.
