Empowering Lifesavers: Max Hospital and Civil Defense Conduct CPR Workshop in Lucknow

Lucknow : In a vital move toward community safety, Max Super Speciality Hospital, Lucknow, collaborated with the Civil Defense Department to host a comprehensive CPR and First Aid Workshop today. The session was designed to equip volunteers with the technical skills required to act decisively during life-threatening emergencies.

The workshop focused on practical, hands-on training for handling medical crises, with a specific emphasis on Cardiac Arrest. Dr. Saurabh Singh, Head of the Emergency Department at Max Hospital, led the training, demonstrating the precise mechanics of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). He stressed that immediate intervention is the most critical factor in survival during the "Golden Hour."

The event was inaugurated by IPS Dhruv Kant Thakur, Director General of Civil Defense. Addressing the volunteers, he lauded their unwavering commitment to social service and highlighted the indispensable role of Civil Defense in disaster management and emergency response.

To mark the occasion, Pramit Mishra, Unit Head of Max Hospital, honored several wardens for their dedicated service to society. The ceremony acknowledged the silent heroes who form the backbone of local emergency assistance.

Nearly 100 Civil Defense members from across Lucknow participated in the program. Key contributors to the event's success included:
