Max Hospital : Delhi Youth Bounces Back After Rare Liver Stone Surgery

Lucknow: In a demonstration of advanced surgical expertise, doctors at Max Super Specialty Hospital, Lucknow, have successfully treated a 27-year-old Delhi resident, Rishabh Singh, who was suffering from a critical and rare condition: Hepatolithiasis coupled with Recurrent Pyogenic Cholangitis (RPC).

Rishabh arrived at the hospital in a severely compromised state, plagued by persistent fever, debilitating weight loss, jaundice, and intense abdominal pain. His condition, characterized by the formation of multiple stones deep within the liver's small bile ducts and chronic, recurring infections, is notoriously difficult to manage, especially after a previous unsuccessful procedure at another facility.
