Jobs for Unemployed Youth of UP West: 200 Companies Bringing 25,000 Jobs
CM Yogi Adityanath to inaugurate a mega job fair in Muzaffarnagar on April 13, offering 25,000 jobs via 200 companies.
Muzaffarnagar: In a massive push toward youth empowerment and economic growth, Western Uttar Pradesh is set to witness one of its largest-ever employment drives. On April 13, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate a "Vrihad Rozgar Mela" (Mega Job Fair) in Muzaffarnagar, where over 200 private sector companies are expected to recruit roughly 25,000 young professionals.
The initiative, spearheaded by the Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission, targets youth from the Meerut, Moradabad, Saharanpur, and Aligarh divisions. According to Ashish Kumar, Assistant Director of the Skill Development Mission (Lucknow) and Nodal Officer for the event, the fair serves as a bridge between skilled talent and top-tier recruiters.
"We are bringing 25,000 vacancies across diverse sectors," Kumar stated. While salary packages will vary based on the candidate's skills and experience, the minimum offering is expected to start at ₹12,000 per month, with annual packages beginning at ₹1.5 lakh.
The event is not just a recruitment drive but a high-level administrative mission. While CM Yogi Adityanath will lead the inauguration, the event will be presided over by Union Minister of State (Skill Development) Jayant Chaudhary. State Skill Development Minister Kapil Dev Agarwal will also be in attendance, highlighting the dual-engine government's focus on regional employment.
To ensure maximum participation, the government has simplified the entry process. Aspiring candidates can register by scanning a dedicated QR code. For those facing technical issues, on-spot registration counters will be managed by department staff at the venue.
To facilitate travel for candidates from neighboring districts, the administration has deployed a fleet of buses. Data suggests a massive response already:
- Meerut: 1,200 candidates
- Ghaziabad: 500 candidates
- Hapur, Bulandshahr, & Baghpat: 300 candidates each
- Over 216 female candidates have already confirmed their participation from the Meerut division alone.
With over 9,000 registrations already completed and numbers climbing daily, the Muzaffarnagar Job Fair is poised to become a benchmark for state-led employment initiatives. By bringing 200 companies—including 50 from the Meerut division—directly to the youth, the UP government aims to curb migration and boost the local economy through immediate placement and industrial integration.
