Celebrating the Legacy: Historic Homeopathy Convention in Lucknow Draws 1,000 Physicians

Lucknow : To commemorate the 271st birth anniversary of Dr. Samuel Hahnemann, the Lucknow Convention Center hosted a monumental gathering, bringing together nearly 1,000 homeopathic doctors from across the nation. The event served as a powerful platform to bridge ancient Indian wisdom with modern homeopathic practice.

A major highlight of the ceremony was the release of the book "Homeopathy – The Legacy of India." The launch was accompanied by a specialized AI-generated film illustrating how the core principles of homeopathy are deeply rooted in India’s ancient medical traditions.

The event emphasized the principle of "Vishamev Vishabhasya Aushadhim"—the Sanskrit equivalent of the homeopathic law "Similia Similibus Curentur" (like cures like).

The convention was graced by several high-profile dignitaries who praised the system’s holistic approach:

Brajesh Pathak (Deputy CM, UP): Applauded the gentle and safe nature of the practice. He specifically lauded Dr. Umang Khanna for his selfless service and free medicine distribution during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sushma Kharkwal (Mayor of Lucknow): Called upon the fraternity to re-establish India as a "Vishwa Guru" in the global healthcare sector.

Dr. Mahendra Singh (MLC): Highlighted the efficacy of homeopathic remedies in extreme conditions, such as high-altitude military and mountaineering expeditions.

Shri Mukesh Sharma (MLC) noted that homeopathy is showing positive results in treating complex conditions like Autism and Schizophrenia, attributed to its focus on individualized symptomatic treatment rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.

The event was a vibrant mix of intellectual discourse and cultural heritage. Renowned figures including Aparimeya Shyam Das (President, ISKCON), Mahant Dharmendra Das, and Maulana Khalid Rashid were in attendance. The audience was enthralled by Kathak performances by Pihu Dwivedi, Krutika Kalangan, and Stuti Khanna, followed by a soulful session by "The Ragness Band."

The convention concluded with a collective pledge to strengthen homeopathy through rigorous scientific research and ethical practice, ensuring India’s medical heritage reaches new global heights.
