Lucknow. Under the SVEEP program, journalists from the capital Lucknow created a new history by holding a voter awareness rally on Wednesday.

Under the leadership of NUJ with the support of Municipal Corporation Lucknow, this rally was inaugurated by Lucknow's CDO Ajay Jain and Municipal Commissioner Inderjit Singh by flagging off from KD Singh Babu Stadium.

The rally ended at the Gandhi statue at GPO, where both the officers along with Deputy Director Information Madhu Tambe administered the voter awareness pledge to everyone.

In the great festival of democracy, journalists from Lucknow across the country made innovative efforts like voter awareness rally.

Under the guidance of NUJ Uttar Pradesh Patron Pramod Goswami, K Baksh Singh, Surendra Kumar Dubey and Ajay Kumar, a grand rally was organized under the leadership of State President Virendra Saxena, State General Secretary Santosh Bhagwan and State Treasurer Anupam Chauhan.

On this occasion, under the leadership of Pankaj Dixit, President of Tempo-Taxi and Autorickshaw United Front, Lucknow, Municipal Corporation Employees Union President Anand Verma and all the officials of the Employees Union were present and encouraged by his team.

NUJ (India) National Organization Minister Pramod Goswami said that for the first time in the country, a voter awareness rally was taken out by journalists.

NUJ State President Virendra Saxena said that this ritual has been organized so that the journalist community is not left behind in this great festival of democracy.

NUJ Uttar Pradesh Treasurer Anupam Chauhan said that by being a part of the voter awareness campaign, journalists also fulfilled their duty as citizens.

NUJ Lucknow General Secretary Padmakar Pandey appealed that we all should come forward and vote in the upcoming elections. State media in-charge/spokesperson Dr. Atul Mohan Singh said that this is the first effort made by journalists for voting awareness.

Volunteers and cadets participated under the leadership of Ajit Singh, National President of NCC and NSS Cadet Association. Bhootnath Adarsh ​​Vyapar Mandal President Kamal Aggarwal, General Secretary Manoj Aggarwal and his entire team were present.
