RBI Celebrates 90 Years with Nationwide Quiz

Lucknow:The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is celebrating its 90th year of operations with a series of events throughout the year. As part of these celebrations, RBI introduced the RBI90Quiz, a nationwide general knowledge competition aimed at engaging undergraduate students across India. The quiz is team-based and consists of multiple rounds. The online round took place from September 19 to 21, 2024, with successful teams advancing to state-level competitions. In Uttar Pradesh, the state-level round was held in Lucknow, where 180 students (90 teams) participated. Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (RGIPT) clinched the top spot, followed by Allahabad University and IIT Kanpur, securing second and third positions respectively. The top three teams were awarded ₹2 lakh, ₹1.5 lakh, and ₹1 lakh.

Regional Director of RBI, Lucknow, Mr. Pankaj Kumar, congratulated the winners and encouraged all participants to act as ambassadors of financial literacy. The event also saw participation from representatives of NABARD, banks, and educational institutions, reflecting a strong commitment to promoting awareness. The winning team will now compete in the zonal round scheduled between November 21 and December 4, 2024, in Bhubaneswar. The national finals will take place in Mumbai in December 2024, marking the culmination of this prestigious event.
