District officials ensure smooth, transparent, and fair Assembly by-elections in Ambedkar Nagar.
Ambedkar Nagar:Following the announcement of the 2024 Assembly by-elections on October 15 by the Election Commission of India, District Election Officer Avinash Singh inspected the MCMC, C-Vigil, Control Room, and nomination facilities in the 277-Katehari Assembly of Ambedkar Nagar. Officials reported that all teams are working round the clock to ensure smooth and transparent elections, adhering strictly to the commission's guidelines. District authorities emphasized efficient complaint resolution through a dedicated helpline and C-Vigil monitoring, demonstrating a commitment to fair electoral practices.
The Returning Officer/Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Bhiti informed that on the third day of the nomination process, independent candidate Parashuram submitted two sets of nomination papers. A total of 16 sets have been received from eight candidates so far, with Bahujan Mukti Party candidate Omveer Verma filing his nomination today. The control room, equipped with telephone and wireless facilities, operates 24/7 to facilitate communication with voters, ensuring prompt grievance redressal.
