Smt. Gandhi's birth anniversary is celebrated as National Unity Day: ASHFAQ
Prayagraj : India's first woman Prime Minister Bharat Ratna known as Iron Lady in Bhardwaj Gurukulam Institute RudapurThe birth anniversary of Late Smt. Indira Gandhi was celebrated with joy by garlanding her portrait and under the chairmanship of Congress Party's Gangapar District President Ashfaq Ahmed.
On this occasion Ahmed while throwing light on the work and personality of Mrs. Gandhi said that the birth anniversary of Mrs. Gandhi is celebrated as National Unity Day. Her aim was to give prominence to peace, unity and brotherhood in the country. Mrs. Gandhi had received education from Oxford University.
She worked as the Prime Minister of India from 1966 to 1977 and from 1980 to 1984. During her Prime Ministership, she did many works of national interest like nationalization of banks, Green Revolution, today we all should learn from her character and actionsAnd one should be determined to follow in their footsteps.Director of the institute, Devraj Upadhyay said that Mrs. Gandhi was known for her strong political decisions and skills. In 1971, after many difficulties, she took the decision of Indo-Pak war and led India to victory.
The nation salutes her for her sacrifice and bravery. Her teachings are a source of inspiration for usMainly General Secretary Sunil Pandey, Dr. Amar Singh, Control Room Incharge Saddam Hussain Siddiqui, Shyam Dhuria, Vishwanath Gautam, Nargis Bano, Ritika, Rosie, Reshma Bano, Sonali, Sharmila etc. were present in the program.
