From the Visionary of Tumbbad: ‘Mayasabha – The Hall of Illusion’ Teaser Sets Internet Ablaze

Mumbai : While the city is currently gripped by civic election fever, a different kind of storm has taken over the digital world. The teaser-trailer of Mayasabha – The Hall of Illusion, the highly anticipated second feature from Tumbbad director Rahi Anil Barve, has gone viral within minutes of its release, amassing millions of views across mobile screens nationwide.

Following the legendary cult status of his debut, Barve returns with a project that promises an even deeper dive into thrill and magic. The teaser has sparked a frenzy on platforms like Instagram and X, with fans calling it the "next cinematic cult." Social media is abuzz with praise for the film’s haunting visuals and its unique, dark conceptualization that seems to defy traditional Bollywood tropes.

The most significant talking point of the teaser is veteran actor Jaaved Jaaferi. Known largely for his comedic timing, Jaaferi appears here in a completely unrecognizable, serious, and intense avatar. Critics and fans alike are calling this the most "unconventional role of his career," adding a layer of gravitas to the film’s mystery.
