21-02-2024. Today, Farmers Day was organized in the Collectorate Auditorium under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Mangala Prasad Singh. The District Magistrate directed the electricity department officials to take necessary action to replace the old dilapidated wires in rural areas and the electricity department officials must answer the calls of the farmers and improve the electricity supply system and a roster of supply should be made.

The District Magistrate said that under the Farmer Incentive Scheme of the Animal Husbandry Department, farmers should be benefited as per the target and new applications received under the Kisan Samman Nidhi should be disposed of quickly and special attention should be paid to increase the applications in the development blocks with less applications.

The applications received under the Chief Minister Farmer Accident Scheme should be disposed of immediately. Eligible farmers should be benefited under the crop insurance scheme. Insurance company representatives should remain in touch with farmer organizations. Participate in the meeting with farmers on Wednesday. He said that organic farming should be promoted by giving Jeevamrit and cube Jeevamrit made from cow urine and cow dung to the farmers in the Gaushala. Farmers should be given solar pumps as per the target. Farmer leader Rajbahadur Singh and others presented a bouquet to the Kisan Samman Nidhi for coming on top in the district.

The District Magistrate said that eKYC of 90 percent farmers has been done and special efforts are being made to get eKYC done for the remaining farmers. He appealed to the farmer representatives to help all the left out farmers around them in getting their eKYC done. On this occasion, Chief Development Officer Soumya Gururani, Chief Medical Officer Rohtash Kumar, Deputy Director Agriculture Dr. Nandkishore and other concerned officers and farmer representatives were present.
